Auditions will be on Monday and Tuesday, February 5 & 6, at 7:00pm. The location is TBD. If necessary, callbacks will be on the 7th.

James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim take everyone's favorite storybook characters and bring them together for a timeless, yet relevant, piece... and a rare modern classic. The Tony Award-winning book and score are both enchanting and touching.

The story follows a Baker and his wife, who wish to have a child; Cinderella, who wishes to attend the King's Festival; and Jack, who wishes his cow would give milk. When the Baker and his wife learn that they cannot have a child because of a Witch's curse, the two set off on a journey to break the curse. Everyone's wish is granted, but the consequences of their actions return to haunt them later with disastrous results. (Music Theatre International)

Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script and a vocal audition. Auditioners should prepare a vocal piece in the style of the show, no longer than one minute. A Bluetooth speaker will be available for use. An accompanist will also be available—sheet music must be provided in a 3-ring binder with excerpts clearly marked.

Please note that there are no traditional ensemble roles in this show. Every role has spoken lines, and all but two of the singing roles have vocal solos. We are seeking strong vocalists who can both sing independently and unite well in chorus.

Ages 15 and up.

Production dates are May 17 through June 2 (with a possible added weekend, June 6-9).
