What to Expect at Auditions

Wear clothing comfortable for movement. Dance shoes are recommended for musical auditions though not required.

Musicals

• Cold readings of the script

• Group vocal exercises

• Group dance exercises

• If you wish to be considered for a solo, please prepare a short musical selection relevant to the style of the musical. Solos are not mandatory for those auditioning for ensemble roles.

Straight Plays

• Cold readings of the script

• Possible improvisational exercises

• Monologues relevant to your desired role may be prepared in the case of reading or hearing difficulties.
